The New Phoenix Family History Library is Open!

In October 2009, a new Phoenix Family History Library opened, located at 3102 North 18th Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona.  This library was the dream of Gene and Janet Carruth, created from three separate small family history libraries of the Phoenix East Stake and the Phoenix Stake.  The library offers computer-aided research (free!), as well as a wide selection of films, microfiche, and an extensive print library (over 5,000 reference books).

Join us on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 to 9pm, and on Saturdays from 12-5pm.

  1. Oh my gosh, I have to say I am envious of this FHC! Our local one is a small double room in the church building where there are 4 computers with barely elbow room, 3microfilm readers, 2 tall file drawers, 1 short file drawer, and a desk! Your FHC is a dream come true. Oh, and there are a few rolls of microfilm available.

Thanks for all the information about what's available at the FHCs. I stopped going a few years ago when ancestry was no longer available. I'll have to start going back again.

Thanks for your blog. It's been very helpful.
